My moose hunts are traditional bush plane drop-off hunts.  I hunt unit 20 A near Denali National Park which has the highest density of moose in the state.  You will fly into Fairbanks and stay in a nice hotel for the night.  In the morning you will be met by my bush pilot who will fly you straight out to moose camp. Camp will be made up of large “bomb shelter” style tents and cots.  Food will consist of Mountain House Meals supplemented with fresh food such as eggs, bacon, and lunchmeat.  There will be a cook/packer in camp to assist with making your hunt enjoyable and most of all helping with packing your trophy out of the bush.

Moose hunting is done by glassing from high vantages and picking out a trophy bull.  Then the stalk and excitement begins. Calling is also a very effective method of hunting moose.  Often I combine these methods as the situation warrants.  Success is based on the high density of moose in the area and targeting known rutting ground where bulls congregate.
